30 Day Dinner Challenge: #9

Sloppy Joe Sliders with Tater Tots

sloppyjoe2

I had some rolls I needed to use up so decided to make sliders.

They turned out pretty good. 😎👍🏻

Cost: @ $13

$10 for tonight’s dinner

$3 towards another meal

Used:

3 lbs ground turkey or beef, cooked and drained (I went with turkey)

1/2 onion, diced small

2 cans Aldi sloppy joe sauce (had in the pantry)

12 count white rolls (Manager’s Special 😉)

Shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Texas Pete

Black pepper

*You could easily use just 2 lbs but I made extra to freeze to go in Chili.sloppyjoe1

  1. Cook ground turkey/beef with diced onions – drain

  2. Pour in Sloppy Joe sauce (if you prefer a homemade version you can find the recipe here)

  3. Add black pepper and some Texas Pete hot sauce

  4. Cut rolls in half – line 9×13 casserole dish

  5. Top with sloppy joe mixture

  6. Add shredded cheddar

  7. Heat for 3 mins at 450 degrees to melt cheese (that’s what the oven was already set to for the tater tots)
